Sex positive online counselling for ethical non-monogamy (ENM), kink, & alternative lifestyles
At Mossy Corner, kink, ENM, BDSM, and sex work are welcomed identities and forms of expression. If you’re looking for a counsellor who understands ENM, kink, sex work, and other lifestyles, we might be a good fit. As a sex positive therapist, I prioritise inclusivity, autonomy, and a judgement-free space. My practice is informed by both training and lived experience.
ENM & kink-affirming counselling is attuned to you.
There’s a number of ways sex positive counselling may be helpful to you. You might be seeking support in one or more of the following ways:
Navigating jealousy, worth, and insecurities
Challenging dynamics with a metamour or managing multiple sets of needs as a hinge
Depathologising BDSM and sex work
Rebuilding after breaches in trust or agreement violations
Feeling the pressure of the monogamous, compulsory heterosexuality (comphet) sociocultural norms
Transitioning relationships, whether it’s opening up, restructuring, or closing
Managing lifestyle-related anxiety
Coping with stigma, systemic bias, and minority stress
Accepting kink as a healthy sexual practice
Or perhaps you just need a professional who honours your identity and lifestyle, and doesn’t skip a beat at disclosures that have drawn a negative reaction from other professionals. That’s welcome too.

Frequently Asked Questions about Sex-Positive Counselling
-
No. Sometimes clients come to me already established ENM or kink lifestyles, while others are exploring or questioning it. You don’t need to have things figured out before reaching out to me.
-
That’s a valid reason to reach out. Together, we can answer that question without a pressure towards a certain conclusion.
-
Generally, no. I have fairly extensive knowledge about ENM, kink, sex work, and alternative lifestyles. This means you won’t need to educate me on the basics. However, you’re the expert of your own life and preferences, and I often ask more detailed questions about your experience, if you’re open to it.
-
No. BDSM is about consent. In contrast, abuse is coercive and non-consensual. However, that doesn't mean that BDSM practices can't also be abusive.
-
This a commonly perpetuated myth, but no. Some people may find consensual BDSM and kink are healing, but people engage in them for many reasons, whether that’s empowerment, intimacy, or preference.
-
Sex work and sex trafficking are not the same. Sex trafficking involves coercion, exploitation, or force. I don’t assume one because you disclose the other, and it isn’t my responsibility to judge your work. If I ever have concerns, I’ll always talk with you directly and collaboratively.
-
Sex positive counselling validates alternative lifestyles, rather than pathologising them. I focus on what actually brings you to counselling, and you don’t need to defend your lifestyle.
-
This is a difficult but common place to be. I can help you clarify your own values and needs, sit with the uncertainty of not knowing where things will land, and navigate the conversation with your partner(s). I don’t toward any particular outcomes. The goal is to help you find clarity.
-
Both. Please contact me about your relationship dynamics.
